I’ve never been to The Damn Salon…but I’ve seen some of their work with natural hair and it is beautiful.

The Damn Salon, a private by-invitation-only salon, is very in your face and packs a heavy punch when testifying about their skills. They hold nothing back. Far from conventional advertising, but I kinda like it—hey! It got MY attention.

The Damn Salon does a variety of natural hair styles (City Twist, Urban Twist, Afro Fusion–to name a few), but one thing they are adamant about? No heat. Yes, that means no pressing. No flat irons. No hot combs. No blow-outs. Nope. Go somewhere else.

So I follow The Damn Salon on Twitter (@TheDamnSalon) & recently ran across a link to this video:

Now people have their own parameters for what still counts as being natural. Some people have no tolerance for anything that will or may alter the natural state of the hair, including hair dyes and heat application. Others are more lenient.

I want to hear YOUR reactions to the view expressed in this video.

What is “natural” to you?

Do you find this video offensive? Do you find it amusing? Agree? Disagree?

Love your BLOG, love to be featured btw lol.Natural to me is NO CHEMICALS…I feel heat applications do NOT take away from your “naturalness” thats str8 bs!
That is stupid, people from different races use heat to straighten their hair as well, most of them never have used a perm in their life…so does that mean they aren’t natural because they chose to wear their naturally straight hair in spiral curls, thats crazy as hell lol!
