Last night I finally took the time to sit my behind down and throw some double-strand twists into my hair. Love them. Hopefully I can get a month of wear out of them, but I’m shooting for three weeks. I don’t have the patience for the ultra mini ones but I did them pretty small this time around compared to how I’ve done them the last couple of times. My hair really just needs a break from constant manipulation because my ends are a complete wreck right now. I figured these twists would be a good investment of my time. It doesn’t hurt that they cut down on my hair prep time in the morning too!

This time around I used Shea Radiance products on my twists. I would spray each section with their Moisturizing Hair Milk and then seal it in with the Moisture Rich Butter. I then put flexi-rods in my hair once I was finished and when I woke up this morning, my hair had the perfect bump to it (I’m not a fan of flat twists with straggly ends). I’m really happy with how my twists came out!

It took me six hours to install my double-strand twists and this is including all of the distractions and times I would stretch out on the couch and wonder how long it would take me to take out what I had already done (so impatient!). Check out my progress throughout the night below:

***For those who asked, my hair was not blow-dried–I washed it two days beforehand and put it in big twists to stretch it out while it air-dried. I stretched it more by wearing a topknot the following day.

The beginning...

First twist done...already wondering if I should stop while I'm ahead...

Half-way done...seeing some progress. But of course, the top of my head is where my hair is the thickest X_x

Finally done! Six hours later...

On the way to work...loving the curls from the flexi-rods...

Hey Lady how are you. Your mini twist are the business. You should watch NappyFu’s video on how to wash minitwist. It seems to have helped quite a few people. http://youtu.be/xZ0omOGR1mE
