- Before we get into the subject at hand, a few people have asked why the hair pics have been few and far in-between lately. It’s honestly because I need to wash my hair very badly. It’s been rolled up and pinned up and bunned up for the past few days because I refuse to deal with it if I’m not going to do the full out wash-condition-detangle-deep condition-detangle again-set-style combo. My hair is looooong overdue for some good loving.

I always talk about how I’m growing my hair until I’m 30 and then who knows–I might loc it up or chop it off since I’ve never had short hair.
A friend asked me “Why 30?” and I just shrugged. That’s the kind of stuff people do at 30, right?
And then I remembered.
I’ve said that I am growing my hair “just to see” how long it can get. But that’s not the complete answer. I had forgotten the reason why I wanted to have ridiculously long flowing locks and twistouts that sweep across my back.
I want long Disney Princess hair for my wedding.
Is that silly? Because if it is, then oh well. That’s what I want. When it comes to a dress, I change my mind all of the time. Wedding colors? Eh. I’m flexible. Location? No clue. But that hair? Oh, yes. I know exactly what I want to go down. It will be a bantu knot out/twist out/flexi rod set to make the Natural Hair gods envious. Those curls will be LAID.
Which Disney Princess had wack hair? Right. Even the lone African American princess, Tiana had the flyest top knot going on (It’s humid down in New Orleans—I would’ve kept it up, too!). You know when she takes that full bun down, her kinks and curls are just flowing.
When is my wedding, you ask? No clue. No potential groom in sight. But that’s fine because a girl can dream, right?
