CurlJournal: I’m Thankful For…

So we know everyone likes to take the time on Thanksgiving to say how they are thankful for family, friends, love, health, a roof over their head, food to eat and so on and so on.

This is great.

I would just like to take a moment to shout out my hair as something I am thankful for. We’ve been through so much together and I feel like I don’t show it enough appreciation. With that said, there are so many hair-related things for which I would like to express my thanks.

I’m thankful for:

…my hair keeping my head warm in this cold winter air.
…the patience my hair has taught me. *puts down scissors*
…this ‘fro I’m rockin’ right now. Def a good hair day.
…my hair not falling out from me neglecting it all these years.
…this Jilbere shower comb. Yes, lawd.
…Mom not cutting off my hair when I complained about getting my hair done.
…my #NaturalHair fam on le Twittoi…y’all are zee bomb.
…all of my friends who pushed me to start this blog. So glad I did it.
…friends who let you know about that piece of lint stuck in your hair.
…the super dope super flyy Natural Hair bloggers & vloggers. Def life-savers.
…the countless people who have braved my hair & hooked it up over the years.
…my mom supporting me ditching the creamy crack those many years ago.
…Shea Moisture. I love y’all. Seriously.
…Oyin Handmade. Amazing.
…Kinky Curly Knot Today. What was I doing before I found this stuff?!
…all of the companies who cater to our natural hair needs. So necessary.
…the mirrors in the elevator at my job so I can check my hair one last time before I go in.
…my little sister being jealous of my hair today. (She’s gonna be mad when she sees this.)
…locs. Especially on a man. Yes.
…all of you reading this right now. Yes, you. Your support is more than appreciated.
