Recently I did a quick review of some products by Beautiful Textures that were sent to me from NaturallyCurly.com. However, a few of the products deserve a spotlight post including the Curl Control Defining Pudding.

So what is this stuff for?

Product description from the Beautiful Textures site:

Benefits:

  • Define and Elongate Curls, Coils & Waves
  • Control Frizzies
  • Boost Shine to Versatile Styles
Recommended for fingerstyling, two-strand twists and spiral rod sets.

What’s in this stuff?

Ingredients: Aqua, Glycine Soja Oil/Soybean Oil, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Argania Spinosa Nut Oil/Argan Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil/Coconut Oil, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil/Olive Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii Fruit/Shea Butter, Mangifera Indica Seed Butter/Mango Butter, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract/Rosemary Extract, Dimethicone, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract/Aloe Vera, Phenyl Trimethicone, Panax Ginseng Root Extract/Ginseng Extract, Glycerin, Polyquaternium 11, Steareth 2, Steareth 20, DMDM Hydantoin, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Sodium Carbomer, PEG 150 Distearate, PEG 12 Dimethicone, CI 15985/Yellow 6, Parfum/Fragrance, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Coumarin, d-Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, Lyral, Methyl Ionone Gamma.

What’s it look like?

What does it feel like?

It’s thick and creamy…kinda like vanilla pudding…

What’s it smell like?

The Curl Control has a tropical scent, consistent with the rest of the product line.

How did you use it?

I decided to use the Curl Control for a good ol’ classic twist-out. I did ten big twists (four in the front, six in the back) and left them in overnight.

And……results?

(I coated my fingers in Beautiful Textures Growth Oil to help prevent flyaways during the twist take-down process!)

After some separation and fluffing…
then some extra ruffling from the wind during the walk to work…

Halfway through the work day…

And here is my Day Two hair…

Ok, so where can I get some?

Beautiful Textures is available for purchase from Wal-Mart and Sally’s Beauty Supply.

If you try it out, feel free to come back and share your results!!

I seen this product in my local beauty supply store when I was shopping around for new scarfs. You are the first review that I’ve read so far on it. I will definitely try it now. Great post & pictures. :)
