KinkyFinds: Shea Radiance Moisture Rich Hair Butter
A couple weeks ago I received three full size bottles of Shea Radiance hair products to try out and I must say I am very happy with the results. I will be giving each product–the Moisturizing Hair Milk, the Maximum Curl Defining Cream and the Moisture Rich Hair Butter–its own review post and this one is dedicated to my favorite of the three: the Moisture Rich Hair Butter.
Two words: Loved it!
Shea Radiance Moisture Rich Hair Butter

Size: approx 4 oz.
What does it look like?
What’s it feel like?
Smooth and buttery…softens and melts to the warmth of your hands.
What’s it smell like?
It reminds me of ginger or an herbal tea. A little strong compared to what I’d usually use but it doesn’t linger for long once you apply it to your hair. It has a nice faint scent after application.
What did you do?
I decided to try out the Moisture Rich Hair Butter with a twist-out.
Directions on container: Start with small amount on wet or dry hair. Apply more as needed to palm-roll or twist sectioned hair.
I set my hair in about twelves twists this time around. First I lightly spritzed each section with my water/leave-in conditioner mix. Then I applied about a fingertip’s worth of the hair butter to the length of the hair, focusing on fully coating my ends. I twisted each section and took them all out in the morning before heading to work.

RESULTS???
Twist-out heaven.
I separated my twists a little more after these pictures to get more fluff and volume. My hair felt really soft and the Moisturizing Hair Butter really sealed in the moisture from my spritz. I was also glad that there wasn’t too much of an oily residue or build-up on my hair. Very pleased.
I was relieved that the humidity didn’t mess up my hair too much as the day went on. Finding products that help my hairstyles withstand all of the moisture in the air has been a challenge. My main concern with this product was the small size of the container–I’m pretty sure I’ll run through it relatively fast even though a little goes a long way.
Ok. So where can I get some of this stuff?
You can order the Moisture Rich Hair Butter from shearadiance.com or find it in a Whole Foods Market near you! The retail price is $16.00 for 4 oz.
***Products were provided through a giveaway. I was not paid for this review and it reflects my honest opinion.
