Last weekend I was talking to my girl Jocelyn of CurlyNuGrowth about my plans to do Marley twists for my trip to Trinidad. Jocelyn suggested I try out yarn wraps for a new look and volunteered to hook me up! Of course, I agreed and the following weekend we made it happen. I have been itchin’ to try some color in my hair and after saying we use some yarn colors other than black for highlights, Jocelyn brought me a great fuchsia to use in my yarn wraps.

The whole process took about five lovely hours and I love them! They look like locs, which is cool (Jocelyn has been trying to convince me to loc up for a while now haha). I spent a good amount of time experimenting with styles and yarn wraps can be pretty versatile so I’m excited to try out a few styles. I am definitely all set to party for Carnival! When Jocelyn posts about installing the yarn wraps, I’ll be sure to share the link because I know some of you will be waiting for the details on how to get some of your own.
