Why I still haven’t gotten around to trying a weave

I’ve been toying around with the idea of a weave for some time now.

Sometimes I want to try a huge curly one and other days I want a short cut. I’m still undecided.

However, even on days when I am oh-so-sure of what I would get, there are several things preventing me from getting around to trying out a weave.

1. My line-up of products to review…
So many products to try. So little time. If I got a weave, my hair would not be exposed and therefore, all of those lovely product reviews you want to see? Can’t happen.

2. Irrational fear of tracks showing…
Countless women around the world are able to successfully wear weaves without their tracks being exposed…but I am convinced that somehow, some way everyone will be able to see my tracks and I’ll be walking around clueless. I know this is pure paranoia. But I am so serious.

3. Price of a good weave…
Once I watched one of my friends browse the internet in search of her next weave. WHAT ARE THESE PRICES ABOUT. I couldn’t even wrap my mind around it. And yes, I know that the tracks can be washed and reused but I don’t plan on making this a long term thing soooooo it would be a wasted investment for me. If only I had a third arm or leg to help me pay for some tracks…

4. Price of actually getting a weave done…
Ok. So once you have purchased your hair of choice…now you need it installed. And unless you can get Patricia up the street to hook you up for the low, you’ll probably have to drop a couple hundred (or more in many cases) to get a well-done weave. I can’t. *Heads over to do more research on growing a third arm or leg*

5. Indecisive about style…
As I mentioned at the start of this post…I CAN NEVER DECIDE WHAT I WANT. But I’m 86% sure that I want that Teyana Taylor look with a little less volume. At least, right now I’m sure. Maybe. I think. I just know it won’t be a straight hair weave.
